Our model was nice and tall and as you can see, had a killer outfit. Dave suggested we approach this particular model with the feeling/aesthetic of those cool,long-legged fashion illustrations. I think this one came the closest:

I was perusin' facebook one day and happened upon this picture of my friends. It was like they were all smiling at me, standing there, like a bunch of Rory Calhouns. How I miss them so (sniff sniff). It was bittersweet, it made me happy and sad at the same time. However, I decided to make it my desktop wallpaper on my computer at work. It makes me smile everytime.

Here's a small concept piece for something that's been brewing in my mind. I usually have this way of drawing smoke, but for this sketch, I found myself paying homage to Ms. Rhode's sense of design for smoke, not that it's anywhere near her genius. Stay tuned for more...
Greetings friends, I'm back. School is over, which means more blogging! Went to figure drawing at Cogswell last night with my ever so talented artist friends. It was fun, here are some sketches from last night, colored in photoshop of course. I was really inspired by Pixar story artist, Alex Woo's sketches.
I just watched this oldy but goody entitled "Charade," starring Cary Grant and the unfathomably beautiful Audrey Hepburn. The movie was pretty good: suspenseful, funny, and engaging. Hepburn donned very inspiring wardrobe, so I doodled a little bit while watching:
I went to figure drawing this passed Monday. I could not get a decent drawing out of me that night. It was the quite the bummer.
