Once upon a time in Gesture Drawing...

So I just recently attended my first gesture drawing session with two models! The class was instructed by the awe inspiring Dave Pimentel. Dave always encourages us to be fearless when striking the mighty pen to paper. It's not always easy to do, but when done, you get a nice display of confidence and life in the art, which is pretty effing sweet. I am happy to say that I was proud of the work I did that day and that doesn't happen very often.

Which brings me to this: I was gathering my favorite sketches to post as usual, and realized how amazing the models were! I was looking at this batch of drawings and thought "Wow, every single pose leads to the next and almost creates a complete story!" After this splooge of inspiration, I decided the following: "I'm going to use these sketches to tell a whole story and fill in the holes in between with drawings out of my head!" I should be posting them within the week, but until then, here is a sneak peek...

Awesomesauce, Januel. Credit the models! Who were they? I did something similar from a session drawing John Tucker, my favoritest model ever. He is such a good storyteller. Anyway, can't wait to see these. Hope you've been well. My boobs say hi.
